Making my hair thicker...?

First off let me say that I straighten my hair. I've been doing it almost daily for months now, and my hair is fried. Because of this I have a lot of frizz. My hair is naturally thin, and I noticed that people with thicker hair tend to not have frizz even if their hair is dead.

My dads a hair stylist,so I have no idea why I'm not asking him, but can I make my hair thicker with products to the point where it will stop frizzing so much?

I alread spend like 40 minutes daily doing my hair(kind of sad since I'm a guy) so I dont mind having to take a little more time to put product in.

Just use a conditioner every time you wash your hair

and deep condition once a week, meaning you leave it on for a while

this wont make your hair thicker but i use this product "bumble and bumble".. i'm not sure exactly what KIND but that's the product name.

you apply it before you straighten your hair to protect it..

This is very untrue. Hair products are just a quick so called fix. They do not actually make your hair thicker they just thicken the roots to imatate thicker hair. Your hair is likely frrzzy from straightening it so much. Lay off the straightner, use some conditioner, and posbly look into buying a new straightner. Sometimes your straightner drys your hair out, and causes frizz. Look for one that locks in moisture. Hope I've helped.

lol i thought the key work in that was the fact that your dad is a hair stylist!!

anyway,, a really good shampoo and a really good conditioner would help :D i actually recommend garnier (frutis),, it makes your hair nice, thick and shiny,, im not sure if it works on everybody but it works on me.

P.S. i dont even spend that much time on my hair, and im a girl

well! i was thinking you should like make your hair grow longer and ndont cut layers into it but then i read your a guy bit =P that changed my answer slightly lol.well try get your hair so its all sorta the same lenghth like do it the opposite way as if you wer to thin it out but putting layers into it =D i dont know what im rambling on about but im trying to help. probly waisiting your time. go to a hair dresser or TALK TO YOUR DAD. prettyy lame words coming out a my mouth seems so i dont talk to mine,.ANYWHO yea was it and shampoo it like carefully and try not to stress your hair out. maybeblowdry it insteasd cause i straighten my hair everyday also it sorta makes my hair thinner so seems so you suggested your hair being straightened everyday. im assuming its naturally curly? well. let it be curly for a week or so =] you might be supprised about the compliments you get etc.. and yeap =] thats about it hehe ttyl xx

Well if your dad is a hair stylist you should ask him first because he probably knows more about hair then we people. What I do to not make my hair frizzy since I have thick, curly hair I put conditioner in my hair before I put anything else and let it sit and then wash it out. It also helps to make your dead ends not so gross and frizzy. It you want to make your hair thicker try blending celery in a blender and but it in your hair once a week and your hair should get thicker. I know it sounds crazy. Last but not least try doing something else with your hair than straitening it. It is just going to get worse if you keep on doing it. If you want to keep doing it then don't do it everyday just once in a while.

Good luck!

And I almost forgot try using Dove shampoo and conditioner cuz it helps your hair not to be dead and dry. I've been using it for years and it works. You can also use Head and Shoulders shampoo cuz that works too!

Forget product, forget thickness. The damage is already done. All you can do from here is cut your hair short and take better care of it as it grows out again. To be honest, it will probably look better and healthier short, as all your split ends will be removed. It also takes much less time getting your hair ready to go.

use coconut oils it works ......there is a balive in our family it go something like this early in the morning (before the sun rise)wash your hair and than set in the sun,.....it is said that god bless u and you hair....

since your dad is a stylist you should ask him to japanese straighten your hair. this way you dont have to always flat iron your hair any longer. for your hair to plump up some. paul mitchell tea trea lemon stage is really good. also use less products. too much products wear down the hair.
